About the Health, Safety & Justice Policy Committee

As one of FAC’s standing committees, the Health, Safety & Justice (HSJ) Committee is tasked with developing and recommending an annual statewide legislative platform for counties based on the issue areas under their jurisdiction. The HSJ committee primarily will consider and address issues including, but not limited to, the following:

Behavioral and Mental Health • Healthcare and Human Services Funding • Healthcare and Human Services Policy • Emergency Medical Services • Law Enforcement, Juvenile Justice & Corrections • Substance Use Disorder Prevention and Treatment • Emergency Management • Emergency Communications • Judiciary – Article V
