Okaloosa County Commissioner and Vice Chairman Paul Mixon was recently appointed to the Florida Association of Counties (FAC) Healthy, Safety & Justice Policy Committee by the association’s president, Bill Truex of Charlotte County.

Osceola County Commissioners approved a $2.6 billion Fiscal Year 2024 budget on Monday that they say will continue to deliver necessary services to the citizens, with a continued focus on transportation, economic development, and public safety, while maintaining the same general tax rate that has been in place since 2011. The  county’s budget for fiscal year 2023 was $2.24 billion.
