IS YOUR COUNTY DOING IT RIGHT? BRING YOUR EXPERTISE AND INNOVATIONS TO THE 2026 FAC ANNUAL CONFERENCE COUNTY WORKSHOP!

Help shape the 2026 FAC conference experience! Florida’s counties are constantly finding new ways to do things better and developing best practices for the challenges facing county government. This is your time to shine!

The Florida Association of Counties invites proposals from Florida counties (only) for a 90-minute workshop to be held during the 2026 FAC Annual Conference. Workshops will be held on either the afternoon of June 24 or during the day of June 25.

Teach what you have learned! Show other counties how your solutions are saving time, money, improving government function and benefiting the lives of your citizens!

WORKSHOP SCORING RUBRIC

Relevance: Proposals will be evaluated according to their applicability to all of Florida’s 67 counties; exploring critical and/or urgent needs, challenges, and opportunities in counties.

Clarity: Be sure to be clear in your sessions description and objectives.

Impact & Applicability: How will your session provide concrete takeaways, data, research or short/long-term practical application.

Uniqueness: Is your workshop unique in either subject matter or approach?

Audience experience: Will your presenter(s) demonstrate a commitment to using best-practices during their session through interactivity, inspiration, technology, etc.

County Inclusion: Proposals must be submitted by a Florida county and at least one of the presenters must be an employee of a Florida county

WORKSHOP LOGISTICS

1. Final presentations must be submitted to FAC by May 25, 2026.

2. All presenters must participate in a virtual run thru two weeks prior to their workshop.

3. All workshops are in person and will be 90 minutes long.

4. Audience will be Florida county commissioners, administrators and other senior level county staff. Expected audience size is between 50-150.

5. Each room will be equipped with a screen, projector, AV tech, riser, podium and table with three seats. Rooms are typically set in a classroom or theater layout. Any additional equipment required will need to be coordinated through FAC staff; any additional hard costs will be the responsibility of the county/presenter.

6. Workshop presenters receive a complimentary full conference registration.
