Escambia County is seeking an Information Technology Coordinator (Network)
Salary: $70,283 – $87,854 Annually
Job Closes: June 30, 2025
The Information Technology Coordinator will lead the Network team and be responsible for designing, installing, and troubleshooting network systems, including wireless, to meet the functional objectives of the Escambia County Commissioners (BCC). The incumbent in this position will be involved with the configuration and maintenance of physical and logical network components as well as designing the network architecture/infrastructure and LAN/WAN/wireless solutions.
Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, Management Information Systems, or related field and 5 years’ experience in infrastructure/network environments including network design, implementation, administration, and support; or an equivalent of combined education and/or experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence
Preferred Qualification Requirements:
Cisco/Aruba certifications (CCNP or equivalent)
Experience working in a regulated network environment, including change management processes, documentation requirements, and standardized procedures
Experience working with common networking features and protocols such as: spanning tree, ARP, CDP, EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, Etherchannel, 802.1Q trunking, MLS, HSRP, QoS, multicast, 802.11, IPsec, RADIUS/TACACS+, SNMP, and MPLS services
