Get the Most Out of Your Conference Experience
Before you go
- Discuss your travel – Let your board know in advance of the advantages of FAC’s annual conference; networking, education, leadership development, etc.
- Plan your schedule – Review the conference agenda and choose which workshops and sessions you wish to attend. Tailor your conference experience to you and your community’s needs.
- Research what sponsors will attend – FAC works diligently to ensure there are a variety of sponsors that offer unique solutions for Florida counties. Researching beforehand will ensure you meet with sponsors you are most interested in.
While you’re there
Attend workshops – FAC hosts 19 workshops during annual conference. They vary in topics concerning Florida counties and will equip you with knowledge and solutions to bring back home.
Share your experience on social media – Let your constituents back home know what you’re up to! Share pictures or memories from you’ve learned and who you’ve met. Remember to tag us and use #FLCounties.
- Network, network, network – FAC’s Annual Conference brings together over 1,000 leaders. This is a great opportunity to meet other commissioners, county staff and leaders to shared ideas and solutions.
