Urban county officials face a multitude of challenges, including growth management, affordable housing, homelessness, infrastructure funding and transportation. This forum provides an opportunity for counties with populations greater than 125,000 to exchange ideas on issues of mutual interest.
The following topics are among those being discussed by the Urban Caucus this year.
The National Association of Counties (NACo) Large Urban County Caucus, or “LUCC,” is the premier forum for urban county leaders and is the voice for America’s metropolitan counties before Congress and the Administration. Comprised of county executives, governing board members and other senior elected officials, LUCC members focus on urban challenges and solutions, engage in peer-to-peer information exchanges, inform national policy discussions.
