Registration for the 2013-2014 ACC Program is now open.  In order to apply, you must be a CCC graduate.  Before you apply to attend the ACC program, please check your calendars to ensure that you may attend all 3 workshops which are required to graduate from the ACC Program.  Those dates for the 2013-2014 ACC program sessions will be:

October 17-18, 2013
January 16-17, 2014
April 17-18, 2014    

The tuition fee for the ACC Program is $450, which covers the cost of all three sessions as well as dinner on Thursday night, breakfast on Friday morning, and lunch on Friday afternoon.  Outside of the $450 registration fee, the only additional expenses will be the cost for the hotel on Thursday night and travel to and from the UF-Hilton. 

We will be offering scholarships for the ACC Program registration fee, these scholarships are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.  We have several Small County scholarships still available for counties with populations under 75,000.  All Vivian Alarcon scholarships have been allocated already.  The earlier you apply for the program and request a scholarship, the more likely you are to get a scholarship!  Please note, when you apply for the ACC, you will be given the option to pay by credit card now.  Select the “Pay Later” option so your credit card is not charged until your application has been accepted.  You will be sent a confirmation email once your application is accepted with a link to provide payment if you do not receive a scholarship.

UF/IFAS Extension is once again the sole sponsor of this program which means that all of the ACC courses will be held in Alachua County at the UF-Hilton.  Each class will begin on Thursday afternoon around 12:30 pm and will end on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm.  This allows most commissioners time to travel the morning of the class and avoid the additional fee of another hotel night.  The hotel room rate is $129 plus taxes a night for each of the three course dates.

To submit your application for the ACC program, login to your portal on the FAC website.  Submitting your application should only take a few moments.  Once you login to your portal, you will see a brief overview of the ACC Program, then click beneath that on the “Register Myself” link.  From there, you will select one of three options (the ACC class with a full payment required or one of two scholarship options).  Once the scholarships have been allocated, these options will reflect a SOLD OUT status.   Select Pay Later, and finish the application process.  You will receive a confirmation and receipt.  Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will be officially registered and receive a confirmation email with scholarship status/payment information and hotel reservation links.

The class will be limited to 30 participants, and it will fill up quickly, so you will want to get your application submitted as soon as possible.  Should you have any questions, please contact Becky Berentsen.
