The 2012-2013 FAC Legislative Conference will be held November 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, 1000 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota, Florida.  This event is the final opportunity for the membership and Legislative Policy Committees to meet and voice their opinion on the policies that FAC will lobby during the 2013 legislative session.  On the final day, commissioners will vote and adopt the final FAC policies.

This year, the Growth, Environmental Planning and Agriculture (GEPA) Committee will be chaired by Commissioners Kristin Dozier (Leon) and Nora Patterson (Sarasota) with vice chairs Rebecca Bays (Citrus) and Jean Monestime (Miami-Dade).   Among the topics to be discussed include:  Emergency Services and Ranking, Fertilizer (again!), delineation of the Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM), Consumptive Use Permitting and Minimum Flows and Levels (MFLs), Agritourism, and Water Utilities and Infrastructure.   Be sure to register and attend these important policy discussions.
