In August 2013, the Florida Association of Counties' Board of Directors approved a federal program that includes advocacy, informational services and partnerships. As part of the its advocacy program, staff represents Florida's counties before the United States Congress and federal agencies on a limited number of priorities identified by its membership. During the year, FAC monitors the national issues identified in its federal platform that are affecting county government, and provides updates to its members.
