Leon County Government is accepting applications for the position of Sr. Paralegal.  This position  researches and analyzes a variety of issues and provides the results both orally and in writing in an organized and concise manner, as well as maintains a working knowledge of print and electronic research methods, including Westlaw.  The Sr. Paralegal also provides general and paralegal office support, assists in responding to public records requests, conducts specific legal reviews, places legal advertisements, processes adopted ordinances for inclusion in the Leon County Code of Laws, and interacts with County staff and the public.  Possessing and maintaining an active membership as a Florida Registered Paralegal in good standing with The Florida Bar is required.   The successful applicant will have a diligent work ethic, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be a team player.  The successful applicant will also have excellent oral and written communications skills, be well organized, and have a good working knowledge of Office 365.  Salary is negotiable, dependent upon experience, and is complemented by an excellent benefits package.  The current annual salary range is $43,908.80 – $72,446.40.  Leon County is a member of the Florida Retirement System.  A completed Leon County Government application, a resume, and a recent representative writing sample are required.  The position will remain open until filled.
