The Martin County Attorney’s Office is seeking a Senior Assistant County Attorney with demonstrated experience in civil litigation, construction and transactional matters. Experience in local government practice and related areas is preferred. This position supports the County Attorney by providing legal analysis and advice to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) and the County’s administrative staff and by assuming responsibility for all legal action necessary to achieve County goals and protect County interests.
This position requires public interaction or regular appearances before the Board of County Commissioners and therefore does not permit a claim for protection of your place of work if you will be claiming an exemption from Public Records under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes.
Education and Experience:
Juris Doctorate and a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience (or board certification) in public sector local government law, civil litigation and construction law, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Qualified applicants must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar Association.
Annual salary $115,000.00.
