ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES & RISK MANAGEMENT

Osceola County is located in central Florida south of Orlando. It’s in close proximity to many Florida tourist attractions including Disney World. Home to over 352,000 residents, Osceola County is the 7th fastest growing County in the nation and the second-fastest growing in Florida.    The County is supported by 1,700 staff members.    Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management, the Assistant Director leads a team of 16 responsible for recruitment and selection, employee/labor relations, classification and compensation, benefits, and Risk Management.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or closely related field.

Experience:

Five (5) years of current and progressively responsible professional experience in all aspects of human resources, to include three (3) years of experience in a supervisory/management capacity in the public sector; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum salary is $85,366.13, supplemented by a competitive benefits package.
