GENERAL SUMMARY:
Work involves performing a wide variety of complex professional legal duties which include providing sound and effective legal services for all county departments with focus on land use. Work also includes drafting of resolutions, ordinances and documents, and the rendering of significant legal opinions. Work is performed with considerable independence within the framework of established policies requiring considerable initiative and judgment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited law school and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in General Government and Land Use Law. Must be an active Florida Bar member in good standing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Proficient with applied working knowledge of Government Law related to land use. Litigation experience a plus.
