Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.5 percent in June 2015, down 0.2 percentage point from the May 2015 rate of 5.7 percent, and down 0.6 percentage point from 6.1 percent a year ago. There were 529,000 jobless Floridians out of a labor force of 9,552,000. The U.S. unemployment rate was 5.3 percent in June.
