Airport Manager


Located in Highlands County in the rolling hills of Central Florida’s ridge area and lake country, Sebring, the county seat, has a population of just over 10,000 and is within a 150-mile radius of over 85% of Florida’s population.  Sebring Airport Authority (SAA) is the owner of a 2000-acre multimodal logistics center approximately 85 miles due south of Orlando.  It includes the Sebring Regional Airport (SRA), a 1,768-acre public use, general aviation airport, which was originally constructed in 1940 as a crew training base of the US Army Air Corps.  The Airport Manager is an executive position that reports to the Executive Director and oversees the daily operations of the airport, including specific departments such as maintenance, line personnel, security personnel, and the overall safety of the airport.  Minimum requirements include an associate-level degree with three years of airport related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Preferred candidates will have backgrounds in areas such as airport operations, facilities management, public relations, real estate and economic development, business management, engineering, and personal administration.  Starting salary will be competitive depending on qualifications; SAA has an excellent benefits package.  The State of Florida does not have a state income tax.  To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, visit to view a detailed description of the position and apply online.  The position is open until filled.  Questions regarding this recruitment may be directed to Ms. S.
