Procurement Strategist

Broward County, Florida is conducting a national search for the position of Procurement Strategist. This is an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced, innovative procurement expert with a proven and verifiable track record with large, complex transit and roadway projects and smart county/city initiatives. This newly established position is a key member of the County’s management team and typical duties include guiding and supporting the procurement strategy for major/long-term transportation surtax-funded programs, specifically the Mobility Advancement Program (MAP), consistent with Broward County’s central purchasing system.  

A Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of professional experience in public or private sector procurement process practices for acquisition of professional contractual services; including a minimum of four years of experience in public or private sector performing general procurement with operations or project/program management. Demonstrated experience in related proposal development with specific emphasis on rail and high-capacity premium transit services; with federal, state, and private sector financing mixtures in high-dollar, long-term transportation and infrastructure projects.

The established salary range is up to $131,861 per year, including an excellent benefits package. Placement within the range is based on qualifications and experience.
