Deputy County Manager

Salary: $134,556.76 – $167,543.00 Annually

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master’s degree with major course work in public administration, business administration, or related field and five years of progressively responsible governmental, administrative and supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Must have experience in Public Works, Facilities, and Solid Waste. Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.

This is highly responsible administrative and managerial work providing direct support to the County Manager on a wide variety of programs and government services. This is an emergency essential classification. Upon declaration of a disaster and/or emergency, all employees in this classification are required to work.

A qualified individual serves as the chief assistant to the County Manager and frequently acts on behalf of the Manager. They are responsible for the facilitation of program results in a functional work group established by the County Manager. This individual also serves as a member of the Executive Leadership team, responsible for shaping and realizing the vision, mission, and goals of the County.
