The Florida Beverage Association (FBA) has announced that its will launch a new grant program that will providing funds to community organizations and local governments to promote nutrition, physical activity and health and wellness initiatives, as well as environmental sustainability programs.

Executive Director Liz Castro DeWitt stated that “the FBA and its member companies are committed to improving the communities where we live, work, and play.  The goal of the FBA Grant Program is to support programs that advance healthy and environmentally sustainable Florida communities.” 

In order to be considered for a grant, nominees must be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization or a state or local governmental entity and meet the requirements listed in the “Grant Program Criteria” found on the FBA website. FBA grants may be eligible for consideration for matching grants from the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America.

Grant applications should be submitted by October 15, 2015. All applications will be reviewed by the FBA Grant Subcommittee. Grant recipients will be selected and notified by the FBA Board of Directors by December 31, 2015.
