In October, Florida hosted the National County Commission Association Executives in Monroe County. This group is made up of the executive directors and high level staffs of all of the County Associations across the country. This annual gathering allows the executives to share best practices including non dues revenue opportunity, updates from NACo and other issues facing similar Associations. This year, FAC's General Counsel presented on Ethics, highlighting different programs in place in Florida that protect the Association and its members.
A highlight of the trip was when Monroe County Mayor George Neugent presented FAC Executive Director Chris Holley and the Association with an honorary Conch Certificate declaring him and the Association 'Conchs'. A special thank you to Monroe County for being such a great host during this important conference.
