The Ambassador Program was created to link tenured commissioners, to share their experience, and FAC with newly elected commissioners. By serving as an Ambassador, established commissioners may help new commissioners avoid the land mines that can come with holding public office, discuss creative solutions to county issues and share with them the value and importance FAC has had on their tenure. 
Do you remember winning your election for the first time and the thought crossing your mind—now what? And how do I accomplish all the things I promised? Well, the newly elected commissioners will be asking themselves the same questions and you can help them find the answers. FAC has long provided new commissioner workshops but by connecting commissioner to commissioner you can relate and understand the individual challenges they will face throughout the year.
FAC will match you with a new commissioner and provide you all the necessary contact info. Then we ask that you reach out to them once a month for the next six months and then periodically thereafter. Encourage them as they get settled and keep them apprised of FAC’s efforts and programs.
