The Bill:

Originally the bill would have had executive directors and board members of Workforce Boards serve at the pleasure of the Governor.  However, compromise language was reached that now allows the Governor to remove individuals in those positions only with cause.

Both bills create a new DRI substantial deviation exemption for certain DRIs and a local option DRI exemption process under certain conditions. SB 1180 preempts local government land use by creating a new Agriculture Enclave exemption process.
