FAC President meets with Lt. Governor and Senate President
President Teresa Jacobs (Orange County) was in Tallahassee on Tuesday and Wednesday and met with Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp and Senate President Ken Pruitt on FAC priorities and expectations for 2008. President Jacobs (Orange) me with Lt. Governor Kottkamp and several key budget staffers to talk about the Governor’s priorities in economic stimulus, health care and energy. In addition, Jacobs and Lt. Gov Kottkamp had a positive exchange on last year’s property tax discussion and future expectations. Jacobs had a similarly excellent exchange with President Pruitt and both sides appeared in strong agreement towards moving past property tax reform and working together to weather the real estate and economic correction.
