TBRC moves TABOR Forward
The TBRC Planning and Budgetary Processes Committee met on Thursday, March 6. The committee discussed and passed several proposals including the TABOR proposal (CP45) which would limit the growth of government spending. After much public testimony from all sides the TABOR bill passed by a vote of six to four. The proposal now moves to the vote of the full commission where it will need 17 affirmative votes to reach the November ballot.
This TABOR proposal could have a devastating effect on local governments and we encourage each of you to engage in this debate. For more information on the proposal that passed and for talking points and other information, please click here.
Event though it has passed through the committee process, it is expected that the TABOR proposal will change again before it is presented to the full committee.
