CCC: Understanding Charter Government
The CCC workshop, Understanding Charter Government, will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008. This workshop will focus on charter government structure, the charter process, and home rule challenges that charter governments face in Florida. Commissioners in attendance will receive 3 Elective credit hours towards CCC certification. For a registration form please click here. Please note that this workshop will be held the day after FAC Legislative Day and a separate registration is required for each. The workshop will be held at the Residence Inn; however the room blocks at the there and at the alternative hotel, Courtyard Marriott, are almost full. If you would like to stay at one of these hotels but are unable to reserve a room, please continue to call these hotels periodically to check on availability. As the event gets closer, there usually are some cancellations. FAC does not have additional rooms blocked at other hotels, but for your convenience, we have compiled a list of nearby hotels that may have rooms available – click here to print this list.
