The issues covered on this exclusive call will include:
- TABOR – this issue will change county government as you know it and is a priority of the incoming Senate President and Speaker. FAC will discuss ways to tackle TABOR during the 2010 Legislative Session
- Growth Management – It looks like another SB360 may be in the works. FAC Growth Expert Eric Poole will talk about the changes that may be coming to growth management and the Florida Department of Community Affairs.
- Juvenile Detention Reform and Billing Practices – It is time for the unpredictable billing practices with DJJ to stop. These bills are costing counties millions of dollars in non-budgeted funds.
- Medicaid Cost Shifts and Health Departments - Proposed Medicaid cost shift will triple county’s share for nursing homes if passed this year.
- Transportation Funding – Counties are still trying to catch up with viable roads from the explosive growth during the last decade and sustained transportation funding is critical.
