This year’s Policy Committee Conference offers an incredible opportunity to earn up to 13.5 hours of credit toward the County Commissioner Certification Program. By simply attending the conference, you will earn 1.5 hours of continuing education credit. On Thursday and Friday, the conference agenda will include two Core CCC Classes, County Government Structure and Authority and County Government Roles and Responsibilities. Each course is worth 6 hours of core credit. These courses are needed by many to complete their CCC Certifications. All of these hours are included in your Policy Conference registration fee.

County Government Structure and Authority (6 core hours)
This course looks at the authority that has been granted to counties by all sources, including the citizens. Participants will broaden their knowledge of county government form and function, of state government and how it relates to federal government, and of mandates and the impact they have on counties.

County Government Roles and Responsibilities (6 core hours)
This course looks at the functions of county government. Participants will better understand state mandated county government services including public safety, transportation and health and human services.
