The FAC room block opened on April 1! The block always sells quickly, so make your reservations ASAP. Please only reserve the number of rooms you truly need so the hotel is able accommodate as many attendees as possible.
All hotel reservations should be made directly with the Marriott by calling (800) 228-9290. FAC has secured a special conference rate of $145 single/double plus applicable taxes for conference attendees. You must state you are with the Florida Association of Counties to receive this special rate. The official cut-off date for the FAC reduced room rate is Monday, June 7, 2010. Please be advised that the host hotel tends to sell out prior to the cut-off date, so book your hotel rooms early. Reservation requests received after June 7 will be based on availability and prevailing rates.
CCC WORKSHOPS AT ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Commissioners and County Staff encouraged to attend!
This year’s conference offers an incredible opportunity to earn up to 15 credits toward the County Commissioners Certification (CCC) Program. By simply registering and attending the conference you will earn 3 Continuing Education credits. Attend the Financial Management workshop on Wednesday morning, June 30 for 6 Core Credits; add the Effective Communications 3-part workshop series on Thursday, July 1 for 3 Elective Credits. These programs are included in your conference registration fee, and if you participate in all of them, you will receive a total of 12 CCC credits.
To earn an additional 3 Elective credits, for a total of 15 CCC credits, register for Friday's Post-Conference Workshop on Environmental Planning. This workshop is NOT included in your Annual Conference registration fee. A separate registration is required.
