Funding Level: $902,312,452
Overview: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) worked with cities, counties, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) and other transportation partners throughout the state to develop the list of selected projects. This effort was based on the established transportation planning processes. Thirty percent of the highway and bridge funds were allocated for locally prioritized projects. For areas with a population greater than 200,000, Metropolitan Planning Organizations selected projects with input from local governments in their area and technical support from the FDOT to ensure project eligibility.
