FAC Secures Sponsors for County Health Department
-Sen Rich and Rep Taylor file bills to reinstate exemption from rate control-
FAC
staff has secured House and Senate sponsors for one of the
Association’s legislative priorities. Senator Nan Rich and
Representative Dwayne Taylor have filed bills to reinstate the
exemption from rate control for County Health Departments. Imposing
rate on CHDs has diminished their ability to meet the health needs of
their communities. Rate significantly limits a County Health
Department’s ability to create new positions when needed and
appropriately compensate health care professionals. Please join us in
thanking Senator Rich and Representative Taylor for taking on this very
important issue.
