The Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve Scott Shalley as the next Executive Director of the Association during the Board meeting at Legislative Conference.  Scott has served for the past two years of the Director of FAC’s Enterprise Division.

In August, our Board of Directors met to identify the skills and expertise they felt the new ED would need to lead FAC, which included:

  • Passion for home rule
  • Strong Local government background
  • Florida Experience / Background
  • Fundraising capability
  • Fosters healthy board / member relationships
  • Servant Leader – effective delegator, and attractor/developer of talent

FAC Leadership agreed that Scott possesses the right experience and attributes to lead FAC in our next chapter.  Scott will assume the role of Executive Director when FAC’s current Executive Director, Chris Holley, retires after ten years of service in June of 2015.
