According to the Associated Press, the U.S. government will spend $1.5 million on efforts to control the bacteria that causes citrus greening.  U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced that the money will be spent in Florida, California and Texas in an effort to learn how to best contain the disease.   Some of the money will be used to breed a parasitic wasp that feeds on eggs of the Asian citrus psyllid, which is the disease vector.
