In tandem with the National Association of Counties’ 2014 Legislative Conference, the Florida Association of Counties hosted its inaugural Florida Congressional Breakfast on March 4 in Washington, D.C.  The breakfast was held at The Florida House on Capitol Hill, which is a restored Victorian house and the only state embassy in Washington, D.C. Despite heavy snow hampering travel, commissioners from a dozen counties attended the event before heading to agency and congressional meetings. FAC is thankful for the generosity of the event’s sponsors: Florida Power & Light, Van Scoyoc Associates, Alcalde & Fay and Marlowe & Company, LLC. The Association hopes to continue the tradition of an annual breakfast to host members of Florida’s Congressional Delegation and Florida’s county commissioners each year during NACo’s Legislative Conference
