During the 2013 session, the Legislature passed SB 1852, which allocated $100 million from the National Mortgage Settlement to state and local housing programs. This week, the Senate Transportation and Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee received an update on those funds from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC).  According to FHFC, $40 million was appropriated to the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program, which provides each county with a minimum allocation of $350,000.  FHFC has conducted several live and on-line training sessions for local governments and each county’s allocation may be viewed here.
