Commissioners, be sure to register for the pre-conference CCC Workshop on Growth Management when you are registering for Annual Conference!  This workshop will be worth 6 hours of Core credit toward your CCC Certification.  It will begin with lunch at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25th and end at 6:00 p.m.  This course is designed to give commissioners an understanding of the history of land use planning in Florida and how we got where we are today.  Participants will learn the realities of implementing comprehensive plans including how amendments, development approvals, and exceptions should be handled. Our featured speaker is Gene Boles, FAICP, MCP, MS who is the Director of Development Services in Hillsborough County as well as Senior Fellow at the Center for Building Better communities, Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Florida.

Registration is now open for this workshop.  Registration for the afternoon workshop will be $125 for members and $65 for guests.  Lunch and snacks are included with the meeting materials. There are still some Small County Scholarships available and members who qualify may apply online.
