On Thursday, January 10, 2013, from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., FAC, along with the Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida State University Project for Accountable Justice and the FSU College of Law, as well as, the Criminal Justice Section of the American Bar Association, will be hosting a roundtable discussion on Pretrial Services in Florida. 

The agenda will include presentations and panel discussions on Florida’s Pretrial Risk Assessment Instrument, Tools in the Tool Box - options available to judges at first appearance, as well as, advancements  in monitoring and drug testing capabilities, Regulation of the Bail Industry and Moving Towards Evidence Based Decision Making.  Stakeholders from all over the state, including Judges, State Attorneys, Public Defenders, Pretrial Supervisors and  Bail Bondsmen, will be in attendance.
